We are looking to capture views on our proposals for a private rented sector property licensing consultation. This consultation closes on 29 November 2019.

Details of the consultation

We are consulting on licensing the private rented sector.

Our proposals are aimed at addressing poor housing standards, reducing deprivation and improving tenants’ safety.

Licensing the private rented sector will help us improve tenants’ safety and have a positive impact on the quality of life for thousands of tenants in the private rented property sector in the borough.

We want to ensure that private rented sector properties offer tenants a choice of safe, secure, better quality and well-managed properties. We are proposing that all private landlords with properties to let within the proposed licensing areas will require a licence to rent their properties.

We are making Enfield a better place to rent.
