Data Protection Principles We will comply with data protection law which says that the personal information we hold about you must be: 1. Used lawfully, fairly and in a transparent way 2. Collected only for valid purposes that we have clearly explained 3. Relevant to the purposes we have told you about and limited to those purposes 4. Accurate and kept up-to-date 5. Kept only as long as necessary for the purposes we have told you about 6. Kept securely
Personal data means any information about an individual and from which that person can be identified.
Collection of information We receive and store information about you such as: Information you provide to us: Your full name, provision name, email, address, telephone number, payment method. We collect this information online when you enter it or give it to us via our website, booking a training course online or over the telephone. Use of information We use your information to process your bookings and your payments, create course registers, certificates and to communicate with you. Consent – your choices We will only contact your personal email address if we have your consent to do so. You can opt out of communications at any time by emailing ey Disclosure of information Information collected by us will be used by the Early Years Service and not passed to third parties unless you have given consent, except where the product or service is delivered by a third party on our behalf, or we are obliged by law to do so. We will only keep data for as long as necessary. We share your information for certain purposes and to third parties, as described below: Retention of information We retain your information for as long as required either by UK or EU law and/or as long as we need it to fulfil the terms of your training booking and/or to provide you with services or information you have requested or signed up to. Your information and rights You have the right to access any information we hold relating to you. You can request access to personal information or details of any transfers to third parties by emailing us at email@example.com. You may also request that we delete personal information that we hold about you. We may reject requests that are unreasonable or not required by law, including those that would be extremely impractical or could require disproportionate technical effort.
Step by Step instructions:
Step 1: Request the course you want on our Provider Portal
Step 2: Your request comes through to us via email. If it’s a free course, and there is room we’ll book you straight on and send you a confirmation.
Step 3: If there is no room we will email you with other available dates.
Step 4: If there is space on the course, we will email you a provisionally course booking, with instructions to make payment. You can make payment here.
Step 5: You send us your payment confirmation.
Step 6: You attend the course!

Please note that further safeguarding training is offered through the Enfield Safeguarding Children Board’s multi-agency training programme.
Who can attend?
- Registered childminders, pre-schools/nurseries/ both in Enfield or other boroughs
- Practitioners working in nursery and reception classes in schools
- Other registered provision such as after- school clubs/crèches, holiday play schemes
- People who are in the process of becoming a registered childminder either in Enfield or in a another borough.
