- For many food and drink manufacturers, Enfield provides a gateway to service the cosmopolitan centre of London as well as access to the rest of the UK. With the lack of industrial space in central London, Enfield is benefitting from very strong market demand from food and drink manufacturing and processing companies.
- Since 2009, Enfield’s food manufacturing sector has grown by 30% and its food and beverage service activity has grown by 31%. Companies such as Coca-Cola, Tazaki Foods, Arla Foods, Greggs, Warburtons and Camden Town Brewery are located there. John Lewis, Marks and Spencer Food (GIST), and Tesco have key logistics capabilities in the borough.
- Enfield is also host to London’s only agricultural college Capel Manor and Forty Hall Farm which hosts London’s first vineyard producing award-winning still and sparking white wines.
- Other recent successes include Gregg’s bakery centre of excellence, the opening of Camden Town’s second brewery and new grow-on premises for Japanese food and drink company Tazaki Foods.
