Put your hands up and head out on the Night Hike 2016!
If you’re looking for a challenge this May why not get yourself along to the Civic Centre on May 20th and take part in the Enfield Night Hike 2016 in aid of the Nightingale Cancer Support Centre.
The theme for this year’s 15 kilometre walk on Friday 20 May is colour and we’re asking you to put your hands up if you want to take part and raise money for local people affected by cancer. Enfield Council’s Everybody Active Team is providing white tee shirts and fabric pens for walkers to design their own outfits and outlandish wigs, clothes and make-up are also all positively encouraged.
Entrants must be over 14 years of age, event entry fee is £15 and walkers can either enter online by visiting www.nightingalesupport.org.uk or calling 020 8366 9674.
Last year approx. 400 people took part and raised an amazing £14,000.
Enfield Council’s Cabinewt Member for Public Health & Sport, Cllr Nneka Keazor, said: “The Enfield Night Hike is a really popular annual event, enormous fun to take part in and is becoming something of a tradition that people in the borough have embraced enthusiastically .
“I’d urge people to get dressed up and get out on the route to help us raise lots of money for this fantastic cause.”
