Enfield Council has released a new film showing how quick and easy it is to use Enfield Connected to contact the local authority.

Enfield Council has released a new film showing how quick and easy it is to use Enfield Connected to contact the local authority.

The mobile-friendly website, has been upgraded to make it even easier for residents and businesses to access a wider range of services and benefits and transact with the council.

The drive comes as part of a wider strategy to continually improve the services on offer and meet the changing needs of our residents and businesses in the borough.

The council launched its new website in November 2015 and included an Enfield Connected platform which makes it easier for customers to interact with the council through a central account – increasing efficiency, and saving money which can be ploughed back into other services.

Signing up for an Enfield Connected account only takes a couple of minutes.  Account holders can already pay bills, report issues and track the progress of council applications quickly and efficiently 24/7.

The council's upgraded website makes it even easier to contact with the council about a range of services and benefits meaning account holders can also now:

  • book appointments online for registering births, deaths and marriages
  • complete simple self-assessments to check eligibility for council tax discounts and exemptions and to apply for financial support
  • make a housing benefit claim and check entitlement to other council and Government benefits
  • check rates payment and transaction history including payments from previous years and properties
  • understand any adjustments they will need to make to expenditure as their payments and benefits change
  • pay and check their housing rent

Enfield Council's Deputy Leader, Cllr Achilleas Georgiou, said: "I would urge everyone to take a look at this new film, as it showcases just how easy it is to access council services 24/7 through an Enfield Connected account.

"In the next few weeks we will be expanding our web platforms to include concessionary travel applications, an online Business Directory, homelessness initial screening assessment, booking sports pitches and community halls.

"We want to encourage everyone who lives and works in the borough to sign up for an Enfield Connected account – it saves time and money, makes services more accessible and revolutionises the way we provide services in this borough."
