Job seekers are invited to Enfield Council’s jobs, apprenticeship and careers fair where prestigious companies are looking to fill vacancies in all kinds of fields.

The free jobs fair is open to all residents in Enfield and will be held on Thursday, 14 September between 10am and 3pm at Southbury Leisure Centre.

More than 30 businesses are expected to attend and Enfield Council is expecting over 500 attendees from all walks of life – students who have just received their A-level or GCSE results; young people not in education, employment or training;  job seekers;  those looking into apprenticeships; and residents who are switching careers into new sectors.

Enfield Council’s Cabinet Member for Economic Regeneration & Business, Cllr Alan Sitkin, said: “Enfield is going through a wonderful period of innovation and investment as part of its ongoing growth. With so many new businesses setting up in Enfield, we want to provide an opportunity for people to meet prospective employers face-to-face, to learn about how to develop the skills they need to get, keep and progress in work and to look at different options available.

“We’ve had excellent feedback from previous job fairs from both employers and attendees. We want to do everything we can to help the people of Enfield to find good jobs. Whatever your background or previous experience, we hope to see you at Southbury Leisure Centre on 14 September.”

Companies expected at the fair include Countryside Properties, Galldris Construction, Warburtons and many more. Those looking for information on apprenticeships and courses will have the opportunity to speak to Enfield’s further education institutions including Barnet & Southgate College and The College of Haringey, Enfield & North East London. The event will also feature workshops on business start-ups as well as practical career advice.
