The school was given the education watchdog's highest rating in the majority of categories, with inspectors crediting the progress students make throughout the years.

The Headtacher of St Anne's, Siobhan Gilling, said she was "exceptionally proud" of what her pupils and staff had achieved during the inspection on 14-15 December 2016.

Inspectors noted that pupils were 'happy, confident and safe', staff morale was very high, pupils have excellent academic skills, the quality of teaching is outstanding and that behaviour is impeccable.

Ms Gilling said "We are exceptionally proud of all our students and staff. Ofsted have endorsed the hard work and outstanding teaching, learning and pastoral support that is at the heart of our school and confirmed that achievement, behaviour and leadership are all excellent."

Enfield Council's Cabinet Member for Education, Children's Services & Protection, Cllr Ayfer Orhan, said "St Anne’s School has earned this well-deserved success.

"A truly fantastic 97 per cent of our primary schools have been rated as 'Good' or 'Outstanding' by Ofsted and it is always great news to hear of a school’s success."
