Under a starlit sky more than 200 people braved a cool August evening to see 'Mamma Mia' at the Pop-Up cinema in Enfield Town Park.

This special screening attracted ABBA fans, music fans and those who love this ever popular film which was shown to support the Mayor of Enfield's charity fund.

And it raised over £1600 from ticket sales to support the charity that is raising funds for children to learn to play musical instruments, help schools develop glee projects, support therapies for people living with dementia or depression and to raise the profile of music in Enfield.

The scene was set by Enfield's newest choir, 'R Voices' a 40 strong group of men and women who sang a medley of ABBA songs that had the audience standing and singing along with such favourites as 'Thank you for the Music'; 'Dancing Queen' and of course, 'Mamma Mia'.

Enfield's Mayor, Cllr Bernadette Lappage, said: "This event was so well supported. I want to thank everyone who attended and the organisers 'The Great Outdoor Cinema Club', who have helped to make this such a success.

"It is helping my fund to grow so that our musical borough will always make and enjoy music."
