Two primary schools in Enfield have been identified as centres of excellence in The Parliamentary Review for 2015/2016.

Eversley Primary School in Winchmore Hill and Worcesters Primary School in Enfield, were highlighted in The Parliamentary Review - an annual publication released to coincide with the beginning of the Parliamentary year. Each of its twelve editions focus on a governmental policy area, with leading organisations and executives sharing personal insight and discussing good practice alongside Cabinet and senior ministers.

Enfield Council's Cabinet Member for Education, Children's Services & Protection, Cllr Ayfer Orhan, said "We are very grateful to the researchers of The Parliamentary Review for recognising the hard work put in by both of our successful schools.

"97 per cent of our primary schools have been rated as 'Good' or 'Outstanding' by Ofsted, but it is a real privilege to hear that two of them have been highlighted as providers of best practice and excellent teaching and learning by this Review."

Pat Wood, Headteacher of Eversley Primary School, said: "I was delighted to share the many achievements of Eversley Primary School in The Parliamentary Review, which are due to the wonderful hard working staff and children and supported by our Governors, parents and the community."

Karen Jaeggi, Headteacher of Worcesters School, said "We were delighted when our school was chosen to be part of the Parliamentary review. We are all very proud of our school and know that Worcesters is a success as a result of our fantastic staff, wonderful children and supportive parents and local community."

Eversley School was commended for its consistent 'outstanding' Ofsted mark since 2006, and its work as a teaching and national support school. The school's pupils have high achievement levels and its values based ethos is both welcoming and inclusive.

Worcesters School moved from a 'satisfactory' school to 'outstanding' within 18 months after the recruitment of a new headteacher and rigorous overhaul of teaching, learning and processes which cascaded throughout the school.
