On 22 July 2019, we are introducing our new Children’s Portal, which will allow you to:
You now only need to complete one referral form for children who need Early Help. We will decide which service is best placed to provide the support, so you won’t have to choose. Our new triage arrangement for Early Help has a dedicated team to review and oversee all referrals managed by a social work manager.
Professionals will need to submit all referrals through the Children’s Portal.
If you have a safeguarding concern that can’t wait for a referral form, you should call the MASH on 020 8379 5555.
Members of the public should make all referrals through the portal, including enquiries to become a foster carer. However, if you need support or prefer to submit your referral or enquiry over the phone, you can call the relevant team.
The Single Point of Entry (SPOE) is now called the Children’s MASH. To find out more, view the Enfield Threshold guide for multi-agency partners (PDF).
Children’s Centres, Parent Support Service and Change & Challenge are working together as the Enfield Early Help Family Hub. The Early Help partnership is overseen by the Family Resilience Board, chaired by the Director of Children and Family Services.
You can contact the Early Help Family Hub at earlyhelp@enfield.gov.uk, and the MASH at childrensmash@enfield.gov.uk.
We developed the Children’s Portal after feedback from partner agencies, to make the referral process for statutory social care or Early Help services more user friendly and efficient.
The portal will mean:
We are developing the portal in the following phases:
A delegation portal for professionals to contribute to information requests and pass relevant sections of forms between team members to complete. Once submitted this information goes directly into our case management system.
