General Election 2019

There will be a General Election on Thursday 12 December 2019.

Enfield consists of three parliamentary constituencies:

  • Edmonton
  • Enfield North
  • Enfield Southgate

Only British, Irish and Commonwealth citizens can vote at this General Election. Residents registered as European citizens are not eligible to vote.

If you are not yet registered to vote, visit GOV.UK with your National Insurance number. The deadline to register for this election is midnight on Tuesday 26 November 2019. If you’re already registered to vote you don’t need to do so again.

If you have yet to return your Household Enquiry Form, you need to do so by Thursday 28 November 2019. If any new names are to be registered at an address, visit GOV.UK before midnight on Tuesday 26 November 2019.

The deadline to apply for a postal vote is 5pm on Tuesday 26 November 2019.

The deadline to apply for a proxy vote, where someone votes at your polling station on your behalf, is 5pm on Wednesday 4 December 2019.
