Local council elections on Thursday 5 May 2022

Local council elections for Enfield will take place on Thursday 5 May 2022. Voters in the borough will choose who they want to represent them as their ward councillors.

Changes to wards and number of councillors

In 2019, the Local Government Boundary Commission for England (LGBCE) did a statutory review of the council's electoral arrangements. Following their recommendations, the following changes will begin from 5 May 2022:

  • The number of wards in the borough will increase from 21 to 25 (this change means your address may now be in a differently named ward than before)

The current number of councillors (63) will stay the same.

You can see the names of the wards and the number of councillors for each of the wards from 5 May 2022 on our election boundaries page.
