The next Mayor of London and London Assembly elections are on Thursday 7 May 2020.
British, Irish and Commonwealth, and European Union citizens can vote in this election.
The deadline to register to vote in this election is midnight on Tuesday 21 April 2020. If you're already registered to vote you do not need to do so again, unless you have moved address. You can register online at GOV.UK. It only takes a few minutes, and you will need to provide your National Insurance number.
The deadline to apply for a postal vote is 5pm on Wednesday 22 April 2020. For more information and an application form see voting by post.
The deadline to apply for a proxy vote, where someone votes at your polling station on your behalf because you are unable to go in person, is 5pm on Wednesday 29 April 2020. For more information and an application form see voting by proxy.
