The UK Parliament has decided to reduce the number of parliamentary constituencies and MPs in the UK from 650 to 600. This includes a reduction of five constituencies across the London region.
The Boundary Commission for England (BCE) is the independent body considering where the boundaries of new constituencies should be, including those within the London Borough of Enfield. Their initial proposals were published in September 2016 and the consultation following this closed in December 2016.
Feedback from the consultation was published on the BCE website on 28 February 2017 and you are now encouraged to view and comment on what others have said. You can submit your comments between 28 February and 27 March 2017.
Following this secondary consultation, the BCE will consider feedback received from both consultations and decide whether to revise their initial proposals. If they make any revisions, there will be a third consultation in late 2017 or early 2018.
