Halls for hire

Halls on estates

We have a number of halls that you can hire for the benefit of the local community. The halls are situated on various estates, which currently provide local people with a range of services and facilities on their door step. They present opportunities for groups and individuals to set up activities that serve the needs of the local area. We also hire out halls and venues for special occasions, including:

  • parties
  • meetings
  • conferences
  • talks
  • training

Our vision is to establish these halls as thriving centres for creativity, support, advice, education and leisure. We see these halls as centres to bring local people together and to build stronger neighbourhoods. View our halls on estates terms and conditions (PDF).

Facilities and closing times

All our halls have full kitchen facilities, a disabled toilet and tables and chairs. You should include set up and cleaning times within your booking hours. We do not provide cleaning equipment, any catering service, projectors or speakers.

We only have one hall that can accommodate an indoor bouncy castle, which is Memorial Hall. Some of our halls have the facility for a bouncy castle outside.

All our halls must be closed by 11pm, as they are in residential areas.

Booking a hall

You need to provide the below within ten working days:

  • Completed booking form with your full details and signature
  • Proof of public liability insurance (which you need to purchase independent from us)
  • Signed Public Liability form (PL1)
  • Proof of identity

Without the above your booking will not be confirmed.

Halls rates are:

  • £17 per hour  - not-for-profit/voluntary organisations (registered charity)
  • £30 per hour -  private/commercial hire

To check availability or to book a hall, email the team.

You can also view available library rooms and offices for hire from £10.60 per hour.

If you let us know your preferences, we can check availability for you. We also ask for the date and times you would want the hall, to be able to check availability.

Public liability insurance

Public liability insurance covers the cost of claims against things such as personal injuries made by members of the public (or your guests/attendees/members) for incidents that occur in connection with your activities or events. This is a requirement of the booking and you must purchase your own insurance.
