The 100 Hours Volunteering Scheme recognises the fantastic work of volunteers in Enfield, who regularly give up their valuable time to help other people in their community.
All voluntary organisations, clubs and community groups in the borough are invited to get involved and register with the scheme.
If you do more than two hours of volunteering a week with a registered organisation, you will get a scheme membership card. You use this card to record each hour of volunteering you complete, with the aim of doing a minimum of 100 hours of volunteering in a year.
People who achieve this goal will be invited to a reception in recognition of their hard work and support for their community. They will also receive a certificate and a limited edition pin badge.
To register with the scheme, email the Third Sector Development team.
The Queen's Award for Voluntary Service recognises the outstanding contribution that volunteers make to their local communities. The Queen has awarded this prestigious honour to hundreds of volunteering groups in the UK.
If you know of a volunteer group that deserves recognition, you can nominate it for the award.
Nominate a group by email or call 020 7781 2397.
