Health and Wellbeing

The Covid-19 Pandemic has a had an overwhelming effect on children and young people’s Health and Wellbeing.  It has been a tough year for everybody all around, our children and young people have not had the safety net of their friends, teachers, youth workers, not able to see their extended family and limited access to their normal day to day activities due to them being closed through lockdown.  This has been a difficult time for all of us, that has required us to completely adjust to what we know as normal. This has caused some anxiety in some of our children.

Enfield Council’s Youth Development Service in partnership with Public health, have developed a new role for a Health and Wellbeing youth worker. Our Health and Wellbeing youth worker’s role is to support young people that have been referred to them through the Youth Alive programme. Young people can be referred by a GP or other professional by completing the referral form.

Once a young person is referred, a community navigator will signpost the young person to the appropriate support.
